The Beaches of the West of Reunion Island:


In the west of the Island, the beaches very are varied. A part of these is calm because the waves are stopped by a barrier of natural coral. Among of these beaches, the most famous is without a doubt l'Hermitage

L’Hermitage


The Lagon is of golden sand. Just open the eyes to watch the blue water of the lagon. To the sunset, the beach turns to gold. The Lagon stretches until the pass of the Hermitage.

The pass can be dangerous: sometimes it is visited by sharks, but the bath is without danger in the limited zone. The border of the beach is embroidered of filaos.

The beaches of Boucan Canot and Roches Noires (Black Rocks) very are frequented by the surfers.

Roches Noires

In the city of St Gilles, the beach of Roches Noires is very animated. The waves attract many surfers and bodyboarders. Also we can pratice water ski, jet ski (etc). The prudence avoids the danger because the current attracts rapidly towards the high sea.

Boucan canot

Very in fashion, it's an pleasant but also dangerous beach by strong sea. It is recommended to follow the rules of the swimming instructors. Put your head under the water and contemplate magnificent red corals.
